On February 28th a student group travelled to Winnipeg to take in a matinee performance of RWB’s Sleeping Beauty. The famous storyline was transformed into a ballet in 1890. While it follows close to the same storyline, there is an addition of the wedding of Princess Aurora and her prince.
The costumes were spectacular and the dancing was superb, with a number of moments where viewers were left wondering how the dancers could pull off such amazing moves with grace and poise. Thanks to Mrs. Robson for organizing and chaperoning, and to Mrs. Braschuk, who chaperoned as well.
