ECI Supports Terry Fox Run and Orange Shirt
This year Erickson Collegiate Institute observed Orange Shirt Day in combination with the Terry Fox Run. Speaker Cadena Brazeau, of Mr. Roberts' Current Topics in First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Studies course, spoke on the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the legacy of residential school survivors prior to students taking part in the Terry Fox Run. The events held in tandem fostered a sense of solidarity for the importance of remembrance. Students of Erickson Collegiate Institute ran wearing orange on September 29th raising $745.00 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Special thanks to the students and staff for participating in both the Orange Shirt Day and the Terry Fox Run.
