Pi(e) Day: It's a math thing!
You might be wondering: What is Pi Day? Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. The Grade 9 class made a 1.5 diameter pie to celebrate the day. A few students participated in the pie eating contest that was held at lunch, while other just ate some pi. At 1:59 (the next three digits of pi), in their homerooms, students competed in a Pi Trivia Quiz developed by the Grade 11 Applied class.
